My name is Iniko Johari. Iniko, meaning born in troubled times. Johari, meaning jewel or something of value. I created this blog to have a space to be expressive for me and receptive to you, the reader. Here, I will discuss my thoughts and feelings on different topics including life, healing, fashion, current events, and anything else I feel pressed to write about. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy writing it.
I’m passionate about poetry, dance, working out, and lifestyle. Lifestyle meaning anything that promotes health and positivity in all areas. That includes mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I am using this platform to share those passions with you, and my hope is that you talk back to me. I hope to encourage you to go after your passions, think deeply in some areas, and simply be relatable in others. I aim to make this feel welcoming and more conversational than me just rambling. Ain’t no think pieces or unnecessary dissertations here.
Okay so boom. What does the name of this blog mean? I mean, it’s easy to say, easy to remember, but what does it mean? I wanted to make sure the name of this represented everything I could talk about and also stay true to myself without being cheesy. I don't need no catch phrases or gimmicks to be dope.
Pen. Writing, my passion, my outlet, this literal form of release.
